Screening of Ukrainian National Legislation for Compliance with EU Law: Cluster 4 Completed
This week, Ukraine successfully completed the screening of its national legislation for compliance with European Union law under Cluster 4: "Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity." This marks the fifth out of six thematic clusters reviewed as part of the bilateral screening process with the European Commission within the framework of EU accession negotiations.
Cluster 4 encompasses key areas such as:
-
Environmental protection
-
Energy
-
Climate change
-
Transport
-
Sustainable development
This assessment represents a critical milestone in preparing for the opening of the relevant negotiation chapters and aligning Ukraine's legal framework with the EU acquis.
By the end of the year, Ukraine aims to complete all remaining technical and political steps required to open all six clusters. Continued support from European partners remains vital to ensure Ukraine’s timely progression to the next phase of EU accession negotiations.
